We have always loved these humble insects, which were used by historical figures including Napoleon Bonaparte as an emblem of industry, diligence and orderliness. In this all-over pattern, a hand-drawn image of a honey bee is repeated and layered to create a buzzing swarm that resembles an abstract texture when viewed from a distance.
